child-labour problem in the mica mining industry, however we
ensure the mica we source is child-labour free.

cosmetic and food industry, when produced incorrectly it causes
massive destruction to the environment and the habitats of both
animals and indigenous peoples. We consciously choose to limit
the use of palm oil in all Mahati Herbals
products.
Alternatives exist but palm oil offers a
much bigger yield than other oil-producing plants, in effect
making palm oil the more ‘sustainable’ choice.
For the desired function of colour cosmetics, there are some necessary raw materials only available as a palm oil derivative. In this instance, we ensure to use RSPO certified palm oil to support a future where all crops are sustainably certified. This is something we are constantly assessing and reviewing.
